We booked a bay ...

We booked a bay view room for a couple of nights. The room smelled moldy and you can not see the bay at all from the cars that are parked right in front, which wasn’t as big of a deal as the smell and appearance of mold on the light lamp, the ceiling above bed That appears to be painted and shower ceiling. As soon as you walk in it hits you, frankly I’m disappointed that this room was even provided to a guest as it poses a serious health hazard, this can’t be good for anyone to stay there let alone kids. Now your wondering why would I rate them 3 stars, well the evening desk person made up for the poor start, she was very apologetic and offered a new room right away. The new room was fine no smell. We didn’t get ocean view but at least we didn’t have to worry about breathing in mold. The pool was good, the fire at night and with games such as connect 4, jenga and corn hole made it a fun evening with the kids. I probably would stay here again if the price was right but I would stay in a 300 room vs 115 that was assigned at first. I hope that they do the right thing and fix the mold issue or stop renting out those rooms to guests as I read some of the reviews online we weren’t the only ones that experienced this.

I stayed here in ...

I stayed here in July 2024. There were four of us, two adults and two kids. We got one of the upgraded suites. This is a personal preference, but we are a family that doesn't spend tons of time in the room and would have preferred a suite that had enough beds for a family of four vs trading it off for living room space where the second room is just a pull out couch. My kids weren't crazy about sharing a bed but they are too young to have their own room and this was the biggest room I could find. Not to mention, the pull out mattress was gross! (Pics below) The location is great - quick access to heart of Provincetown while being a little removed. The kids splash Park area was great. Like others, I don't think the "don't bring food into the pool area" is a good practice. It didn't bother me but I saw others struggling with it and I agree, I think it's confrontational when really allow people to bring their own stuff and people will still buy from the place. I also found there to be lack of towels. Great little beach for seashells! We found so many and my kids loved the walks with the low rise and the access to it. Ps snapped a pic of the jellyfish pillow bc it was cute!

It might have been ...

It might have been better if we had a different room. We didn't have the extra pillows other rooms had (I know, because all the empty rooms have the shades up.) They have dispensers for all the soaps, which I appreciate, less waste, BUT, our shower, although newly renovated, had no body wash. They have Keurig coffee makers, but did not provide a couple bottles of water for it like our motel in Hyannis did. They also only left enough creamer and sugar packets for 1 cup. Only 2 coffee pods. No decaf or tea options. If you get a room on the pool, courtyard side, be prepared for loud thumping music all day long. I wish I knew that when I was picking my room level. They have different rates for every type of room and views. They say they have a full Cabna bar and food by the pool, but after a day of site seeing, I wanted something to relax by the great fire pits they have, since I was done driving for the day. That all closed at 4pm, but no sign about that anywhere. I was told that at checkout when I mentioned it. There is no free water or coffee or any thing for breakfast or snacks in there huge lobby. I didn't use this service, but they have a fleet of electric bikes and scooters you can rent. I found out from other guests that there is a bus that runs by about every 15 minutes into downtown for just a dollar or two. The front desk staff were very nice and took the time to note my issues.
