It was nice but ...

It was nice but it’s not a bargain hotel and they haven’t mastered the little touches that make you feel like you’re getting what you paid for, especially when they tack on a “resort fee.” Minor things like small upholstery stains, a propane smell around the fires, and key cards that kept deactivating.

What the rooms lack, ...

What the rooms lack, the hotel makes up for in common spaces and the awesome golf cart shuttle into town in the afternoon/evening. These motel rooms have a new coat of paint but not much else since the ‘80s including the crystal plastic teardrop swivel faucet and maybe the caulking around the sink. If you want a view of the pool and fire pit courtyard or of the ocean be sure to request it when you reserve and it will cost you a pretty penny more. I would say save the money and spend as little time as possible in the room. The pool is well maintained and set in the courtyard where music is playing, there are picnic tables on a sandy area for kids, and at night the large fire pits (3 or 4 of them) are lit with comfortable seating all around. No smoke because they are gas fire pits. We did however have plenty of pot smoke scent as we walked down our hall. One of the best parts of the hotel is the gold cart shuttle ride into town which runs from 3-9 pm. It is not great for large groups - transports 7 people at a time (so I recommend making other transport plans for large groups). The ride includes friendly chatter and a mini lesson in anything from the history of PTown to where to grab dinner.
